Indian markets began the week on a positive note with the Nifty breaking out of the 4956 resistances.
The Nifty May Fut closed 68.65pts or 1.4% higher at 4,987.5. The Nifty May Fut premium narrowed to 1.85pts from 7.5pts in the previous session. Total turnover in the F&O segment was Rs.1,36,424crs. Vs. Rs.1,22,174crs. in the previous session.
The biggest gainers in the F&O segment were Bombay Dyeing, Piramal Health, S kumars and Jub Food. The biggest losers were GAIL, BPCL, APIL and NMDC.
