According to SEBI regulations, a client is not allowed to have two trading accounts under the same broking house. HDFC SKY is part of the HDFC Securities group, so clients are required to choose and hold an account with either HDFC SKY or HDFC Securities (Invest Right).

To initiate the switch, you first need to close your exisitng HDFC Securities account. You can do this online by visiting the e-closure link:https://allinone.hdfcsec.com/closure/login.

If your demat account is with HDFC Securities Ltd., it's important to note that using the e-closure link will result in the closure of both your trading and demat accounts if there are no demat balance, negative balances, open positions, or pending orders associated with the client's account.

If there is balance in your HDFC Securities demat account, then only trading account closure request will be processed and once your HDFC SKY account is opened you need to process the closure of your demat account and transfer of securities in SKY demat by submitting physical “Demat closure cum transfer form

You also have the convenient option to only transfer your holdings from your existing HDFC Securities Ltd. demat account to your HDFC SKY demat account via the "CDSL Easiest" method.

On the other hand, if your demat account is with HDFC Bank Ltd., the closure request will exclusively apply to your trading account. For demat account closure, please reach out to the nearest HDFC Bank demat servicing branch.

 


 

No, there are no charges involved in the account closure process.

Upon submitting the e-closure request, your trading account will be closed within T+2 days, with T representing trading days. However, it's important to note that the closure can proceed only if there are no demat balance, negative balances, open positions, or pending orders associated with the client's account

You have the convenient option to transfer your holdings from your HDFC Securities Ltd. demat account to your HDFC SKY demat account via the "CDSL Easiest'  method.

You can transfer the same by submitting physical Demat closure cum transfer form” through which your HDFC Securities demat account will be closed and securities will be transferred.

There are no such documents which you need to upload for e-closure, you just need your Aadhaar card no. with you where post entering the same on E-Sign you will receive OTP on the mobile number and email ID linked with your Aadhaar card.
